Benefits and Quality
At the gateway between social competence and information technology, we always have in mind the benefit of all people involved in the workplan – the financial benefit of the company and the quality of work and life for its employees. Transparency and a focus on participation help us take into consideration diverse interests and to find an appropriate balance. We work hard to be perceived as a fair partner by both all involved groups within a company and industry-wide, and we search for win-win situations:
Working time-projects can only sustain success if all involved parties are included and if they are approached from the perspective of someone looking to make improvements. Communication and information play key-roles for success. How one proceeds is important.
If, for example, employees are at work even during times when they are not needed, but a new model changes this and employees instead work longer hours during peak times, an organization can save considerable sums. Even if some of the benefits go to the employees, the company still significantly reduces cost.
It is often the case that a notable improvement for one side entails only small drawbacks for the other side. In practice we therefore build packages and try to create alternating benefits. Even where simple cost-cutting is involved, it must be clearly stated: working time-systems are simply too complicated to be one-sidedly imposed on employees. They fail when the respective other side is not prepared to co-operate.
